Fear Not
One of my greatest concerns is that my children, grandchildren, and friends will become fearful as nations fulfill their prophetic roles in human HIStory. Apparently, this is a passion of God our Father, as He repeatedly addresses this topic throughout the Bible.
Here, we’ve listed some of His most comforting Words. Consider writing these on pretty papers and posting them throughout your house of prayer. Tuck them into your children’s backpacks or lunches, hiding them in their hearts. For your convenience, there is a downloadable document with these verses at the bottom of this webpage.
Although some verses, in context, were spoken to specific individuals or nations, the many messages by God to His children expose His heart toward us, making it clear that this same Love and Power and Comfort are available to us in this hour.
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
In God, whose word I praise,
in God I have put my trust;
I shall not be afraid.
What can mere man do to me?
Psalm 56:3 & 4 NASB

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
James 1:2-4 NKJV
Be strong and of good courage, and do it;
do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God—
my God—will be with you.
He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
1 Chronicles 28:20 NKJV
What work has God called you to perform?
Jesus said,
“I have been given all authority in heaven and earth.
Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you;
and be sure of this –
that I am with you always,
even to the end of the world.”

refuge and strength,
a very present help
in trouble.

even though the earth
be removed, and though
the mountains be carried
into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar
and be troubled,
though the mountains shake
with its swelling.
Psalm 46:1-3 NKJV
Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body;
they cannot touch your soul.
Fear only God,
who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin?
But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground
without your Father knowing it.
And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
So don’t be afraid;
you are more valuable to God
than a whole flock of sparrows.
Matthew 10:28-31 NLT
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the Lord your God goes with you;
he will never leave you nor forsake you.

to his faithful followers,
and is faithful to their descendants,
to those who keep his covenant,
who are careful to obey his commands.

to give you the kingdom.

of my life—
    of whom shall I be afraid?

   For God has not given us
a spirit of fear,
but of power
and of love
and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
“I heard a loud shout
from the throne, saying,
‘Look, God's home is now
among His people!
He will live with them,
and they will be His people.
God himself will be with them.
He will wipe every tear
from their eyes,
and there will be no more death
or sorrow or crying or pain.
All these things are gone forever.’”
Revelation 21:3-4 NLT
You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord;
He is their help and their shield.
Psalm 115:11 NAS
Be alert, stand firm in the faith,
be brave and strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13 CSB
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed.
And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
For Christ also suffered once
for sins,
the just for the unjust,
that He might bring us to God…
1 Peter 3:12-18 NKJV
This resurrection life you received from God is not a timid, grave-tending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike
“What’s next, Papa?”
God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are.
We know who he is, and we know who we are: Father and children.
And we know we are going to get what’s coming to us— an unbelievable inheritance!
We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with him, then we’re certainly going to go through the good times with him!
Romans 8:15-17 The Message
The Lord is near the brokenhearted;
He saves those crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18 HCSB
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart;
wait, I say, on the Lord!
Psalm 27:14 NKJV
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek:
that I may dwell
in the house of the Lord
    all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty
of the Lord
    and to seek him
in his temple.
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27:3-5 NIV
Do not fear any of those things
which you are about to suffer.
Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you
into prison, that you may be tested,
and you will have tribulation...
Be faithful until death,
and I will give you the crown of life.
Revelation 2:10 NKJV
I have told you these things so that in Me

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire,
you shall not be burned,
nor shall the flame scorch you.
For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
Isaiah 43:1-3 NKJV
Do not fear, for those who are with us
are more than those who are with them.
2 Kings 6:16 NKJV
   Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things.
Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us,
“I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,”
we can boldly quote,
God is there, ready to help;
I’m fearless no matter what.
Who or what can get to me?
Hebrews 13:5-6 The Message
You don't need to fight this battle.
Just take your places,
stand ready, and watch
how the Lord,
who is with you,
will deliver you,
Judah and Jerusalem.
Don't be afraid
or discouraged!
Go out tomorrow
and face them.
The Lord will be with you.
2 Chronicles 20:17 CEB
Therefore humble yourselves
[demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation]
under the mighty hand of God, that in due time
He may exalt you,
casting the whole of your care
[all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns,
once and for all]
on Him, for He cares for you affectionately
and cares about you watchfully.
Be well balanced [temperate, sober of mind],
be vigilant and cautious at all times;
for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around
like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger],
seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
Withstand him; be firm in faith
[against his onset—rooted, established,
strong, immovable, and determined],
knowing that the same [identical] sufferings
are appointed to your brotherhood
[the whole body of Christians]
throughout the world.
And after you have suffered a little while,
the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor],
Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory
in Christ Jesus,
will Himself complete and make you
what you ought to be,
establish and ground you securely,
and strengthen, and settle you.
To Him be the dominion [power, authority, rule]
forever and ever. Amen [so be it].
1 Peter 5:6-11 AMP
Listen to Me, you who know righteousness,
You people in whose heart is My law:
Do not fear the reproach of men,
nor be afraid of
their insults.
Isaiah 51:7 NKJV
But don’t be afraid of those who threaten you.
For the time is coming when everything that is covered
will be revealed, and all that is secret
will be made known to all.
Matthew 10:26 NLT
Even if the fig tree
does not blossom
and there are no grapes
on the vines,
If the olive trees
fail to give fruit
and the fields
produce no food,
If the flocks die
far from the fold
and there are no cattle
in the stalls;
Then I will still rejoice
in the Eternal!
I will rejoice in the God
who saves me!
The Eternal Lord
is my strength!
He has made my feet
like the feet of a deer;
He allows me to walk
on high places.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 VOICE
"So do not fear,
for I am with you:
do not be dismayed,
for I am your God.
I will strengthen you
and help you;
I will uphold you with
My righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
Our Father quickly repeats this encouragement,
"For I, the Lord your God,
will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, 'Fear not,
I will help you.'”
Isaiah 41:13 NIV
This was written in a desperate time as Isaiah warned Judah and Jerusalem to repent; the nation was facing Judgment. It was delivered through a man who, according to Jewish tradition, would be sawn in two by order of King Manasseh. Now grab your Bible and enjoy it in context, backing up to at least the beginning of Isaiah 40.
