He will swallow up death in victory;
and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces...
Isaiah 25:8 KJV
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me..
Psalm 23:4 KJV

O God of all Creation and Eternity, Your Plan is magnificent and flawless.
Even in death
there is no darkness,
for the stone was rolled away releasing
the Light of all the world.
And since You have promised that You will never leave us nor forsake us, even in the tomb the glorious Light of Your great and awesome majesty inspires and embraces us.

Death is a great mystery. It represents the threshold of Eternity for all humanity, regardless of one’s religious or irreligious beliefs. As Christians, we waver between longing to be with You, and yet longing to remain with those we love here on earth.
Your Imagination displayed throughout creation is Flawless. The thought that You would prepare a place that far surpasses the glimpses of Your Majesty on display throughout the earth, seas, and heavens, staggers the imagination.
For those who love You and follow Your Ways, Eternity is so glorious that You’ve hidden its treasures and secrets that we may focus now on the fields white unto Harvest. What an inexpressible delight it shall someday be!
Yes, Lord, as I trust You with my life, I trust You with my breath, and I trust You with my death.
I belong to You...

For whether we live,
we live unto the Lord;
and whether we die,

we die unto the Lord:
whether we live therefore, or die,
we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:8 KJV

Father, we come asking that You wrap Your tender Arms around those who grieve over the death of a loved one. Please touch their broken hearts and may Your Holy Spirit be their Source of all Comfort. Draw and sustain them with Your Presence. May their hearts rejoice in Your eternal Plan that loves us perfectly beyond this human existence. May they recognize that Death is actually a Gift of Life.

Precious Father,
be near Your children.
Place Your Hand upon ______________________,
making (his/her) journey

into Your Kingdom
a time of great peace,
and even joy.

Precious Father, in the frailty of this moment, draw all hearts to You. As final breaths are taken may Your Holy Spirit be as oxygen filling the God-vacuum within this heart, infusing spiritual cells with the sacred Blood of Jesus Christ, giving Light and Life to the spirit, as thoughts are attracted to the finality of mortality and the possibilities of Eternity. May these cast aside the darkness to embrace Your magnificent Light. We stand against every strategy of the enemy of all souls to hold this one in his sinister grip. Break the tendrils and the chains. Battle cry:

so many of Your children are afraid of dying. Please help them discover the Peace that attends those who fully trust in Your eternal Plan. Grant them a glimpse of Your Splendor. Help us all to live ~ and die ~ with courage and confidence. May final hours be times of fruitful ministry, moving others to embrace this joyful Destiny. May Your Love overflow and comfort all who love the Name “Jesus”.

And God shall wipe away all tears

from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,

neither sorrow,
nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things

are passed away.
Revelation 21:4 KJV

Even death is a time of great fruitfulness as men, women, and children reflect upon their own mortality, considering the value of their individual lives.
May the Holy Spirit bathe all hurting hearts, further softening the soil and seed that have been sown, that a harvest of love and influence continue throughout every generation until our Lord Jesus returns.
May those who walk in relationship with Christ bind themselves to love and serve Him more faithfully.
May those who walk in utter darkness, like Paul - like Paul, be stricken with magnificent light –  changing hearts and lives forever and ever and ever...
Father, we stand against every evil strategy that the enemy of all souls might seek to employ during this fruitful season.  We bind him from stealing tender seed, from interfering with imminent decisions regarding Eternal destinies, from distorting any words laced with Light, from hindering any Purpose You are calling forth.
We lift all into the shelter of Your holy Wings, asking You to call, carry, and comfort them.
We celebrate the honor and glory You will receive from the faithful service of this child You now hold in Your care.
And may we be faithful to make the most of every opportunity You grant us because we cannot know the number of our breaths or the breaths of those within our realms of influence. May we live to love and serve You, leading vast multitudes into Your Kingdom until You take us home to be with You forever.
In the magnificent Name that’s exalted above every other name that ever has been or ever will be named, Jesus…

Father Lord,
Your Plans for those who love You are indescribable. In times of grieving may our thoughts and conduct reflect a joy and confident trust in Your Wisdom and Will. May our vision move beyond that which is temporal to embrace Your eternal Promises. But may we also be sensitive to those who do not enjoy such peace that surpasses all human understanding, and be faithful to generously plant seeds deep within their hearts that may yield a fruitful faith.
Oh, what Love
that You desire us –
not only during this brief season on earth
but also throughout the vast endless ages
to come!
No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
And no mind has imagined what God
has prepared
for those who love Him.
I Corinthians 2:9 NLT

May Your Spirit rain down and flood the hearts of every member of this grieving family. Wash away any sense of fear or dread. Be their Comfort in every moment. Quickly fill every lonely and hurting place. Grant them the trust they need to embrace Your perfect Plan that they may be a source of light and encouragement to those who walk in darkness, to those who live without our Hope. Enter and reign in these hearts as King of kings, Lord of lords, God of all eternity, and Prince of Peace.
May we long to live and breathe and die within the realm of Your sovereign Will. If healing will result in Your greatest honor and glory, amen, so be it; but if dying will result in Your greatest honor and glory, amen, so be it. I will not ask for more days than you have ordered – those written in Your book. I only want to complete Your holy calling for my life faithfully and fruitfully. Should You move Your Hand to heal, let each day be lived in its fullest for You. But if it’s time to die, then let it be with joy – as one who has great hope in Your eternal Promise… May others be strengthened through this journey… Every breath for Your glory!
The righteous perisheth,
and no man layeth it to heart:
and merciful men are taken away,
none considering that the righteous
is taken away  from the evil to come.
He shall enter into peace:
they shall rest in their beds,
each one walking in his uprightness.
Isaiah 57:1-2 KJV
Jesus said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in Me,
though he may die,
he shall live.
And whoever lives and believes in Me
shall never die.
Do you believe this?”
John 11:25-26 NKJV

Prayer in the wake of suicide…
Father God, please wrap Your Gentleness around all who mourn. May they comprehend the magnitude of Your great Love.
Reveal Yourself to all in their grieving. Holy Comforter, there can be no consolation apart from You. The torment this one felt - the despair… Keep us from pondering senseless questions or casting condemnation, for YOU ALONE completely comprehend the frailty of the human heart. Turn our focus to those who remain yet in Your fields ready for harvest, fully trusting You as Lord of all the earth. Give us a fresh zeal to labor for Your Kingdom as so many remain who so desperately need You. We need You. Only Your Love can bind up the broken-hearted and Your Light help all find their way through the darkness.
Help me to minister this Love and this Light more faithfully.
Thank You, Father.
For Your Glory, I pray…
